1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Linkin — whether on our website (linkin.ug), mobile application, or any related service ("the Platform") — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2About Linkin

Linkin is a real estate marketplace that connects property seekers with verified agents and property owners in Uganda. Every listing on Linkin undergoes a mandatory 5-step governance review before going live: Property Identity, Ownership Authority, Documentation Verification, Physical Inspection, and Agent Declaration.

Linkin is an intermediary platform and is not a party to any real estate transaction.

3Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account or use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under the laws of Uganda.

4Account Registration and Security

• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify Linkin immediately at support@linkin.ug if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
• Linkin is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to safeguard your credentials.

5Property Listings and Advertiser Responsibilities

• All listings are published by registered agents or property owners ("Advertisers").
• Advertisers warrant that all listing information — including price, location, property type, photos, and legal status — is accurate and not misleading.
• Advertisers confirm they have the legal authority to list the property for the stated purpose (sale, rent, or commercial use).
• Despite our governance review process, Linkin does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any listing. Buyers, renters, and investors are advised to conduct independent due diligence before making any property decision or commitment.

6Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Post false, fraudulent, or misleading content
• List properties they have no authority to list
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, agents, or Linkin staff
• Use the Platform for money laundering, fraud, or any other unlawful activity
• Scrape, copy, or systematically reproduce Platform content without written permission
• Attempt to circumvent any verification, security, or governance feature of the Platform
• Create multiple accounts to evade a suspension or restriction

7Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including logos, design, text, data, images, and software — is the property of Linkin Conglomerate Co. Limited or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.

8Privacy

Your use of Linkin is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at linkin.ug/privacy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9Third-Party Links and Agents

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (including agent social media profiles). Linkin is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Agent profiles on Linkin represent verified professionals, but Linkin is not liable for the independent actions of agents operating outside the Platform.

10Limitation of Liability

• Linkin provides the Platform "as is" and makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
• Linkin is not liable for any loss of data, financial loss, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
• Linkin is not responsible for disputes between users and agents or between buyers and sellers/landlords. Such disputes are the sole responsibility of the parties involved.
• Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed UGX 100,000.

11Account Suspension and Termination

Linkin reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise acted in a manner harmful to other users or the Platform. You may also close your account at any time by contacting support@linkin.ug.

12Changes to These Terms

Linkin may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a Platform notice. Your continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda. Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage users to first contact us at support@linkin.ug to resolve disputes amicably.
